Welcome to Catalog number eleven, thank you to everyone who ordered from one or more of our previous catalogs and especially those of you who started with my CBG ads. Special thanks for those who keep ordering all year long, starting this catalog I have created a new level of customer to show my appreciation for those who ordered more than $50 for three or more times during the year and the past three years straight. You will be designated as Platinum customers and get an extra 5% of every order on top of regular discounts, with very few exceptions. I was hoping to get a warehouse and some employees by the mailing of this catalog; unfortunately I have been so busy with my other Automation business that I have barely had any spare time. Please be patient when you call if I am not there, I promise to get back to you as soon as possible. My business partner Dave Reynolds said he will help handle calls this catalog to ensure that things run smoother. This catalog has been scaled down a little to expedite the printing of it. I left out all Marvel and DC silver and Bronze Age that were stickered below $6. They will be available on the searchable web-site www.NationwideKomics.com this catalog still has almost forty thousand items and will be not expire until next year (2009).
We had a very good 2007 for both buying and selling. Catalog sales were strong through out the year and most conventions were well attended with good sales. We purchased a lot of new Marvel silver age comics including most of the keys. We also have picked up quite a few Timely, DC and Miscellaneous Golden age in addition to our usually large acquisition of all comics from the 1930’s to the 1980’s. This catalog is currently created in three versions: the traditional paper version, a CD version in PDF format and an e-catalog that is downloaded from our web-site in PDF format. This is the fastest and most affordable form of catalog distribution. If you have computer access, please request the e-catalog or CD catalog; it can be opened with Adobe Acrobat, (get the free download at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat ). The PDF catalog can print any page you want, find things much faster; zoom in for easy reading has color scans. I will continue to produce a paper version of the catalog for those of you that do not have e-mail or computers. I request that you let me know that you want to continue to receive the paper catalog, even if you do not place an order. If you do not let me know you want future catalogs, then I may not send them. My website currently has what is left from Catalog #10, check it out at www.terryscomics.com. My current e-mail address is info@terryscomics.com. You can reach David Reynolds at davesamerican@earthlink.net . Dave now has his own web-site www.DavesAmerican.com. We both have opened e-bay stores where we will place items we want to highlight. Pricing for the catalog was done primarily from the 2007 Overstreet Price guide, which is consistent at reflecting market prices on most vintage material. Some prices are based on market changes that have occurred since the OPG has come out and may be higher. Other prices are based on scarcity or desirability which the OPG does not take into account. Included in this catalog are some CGC books that are priced higher than un-slabbed books of equal grade to reflect the extra time and expense, as well as the risk, to have them third-party graded.
My first Comic Convention in Orange county CA was a complete success according to everyone that exhibited and attended. My next show will occur 10 February 2008 but this catalog may get out after its passing, depending on my printers turnaround. I will be mailing ½ off admission offers to all local customers on my mailing list. There will be some great CGC slabbed comics and fantastic artwork available for raffle and a great selection of vintage comics by many dealers not usually exhibiting in this area. The show will have free parking and great guest artists. All exhibitors will be selling comic books, with an emphasis on vintage material. For more info, check out my web-site: www.CalComicCon.com
